Jacobs, Moro, Farren and Hunnell

Des Moines, Iowa -- In the IMCA late model feature, Craig Jacobs passed the
early leader Ronnie Binning and lasted for the win. In second was Darrell
DeFrance, third Chris Smyser, and Ron Cochran was fourth.
Robert Bell and Matt Moro led an equal number of laps in the 360 sprint car
feature, but Moro led at the checkered. Finishing behind Moro were Doran
Doty, Bell, and Mike Houseman.
Dave Farren Sr. took early command of the IMCA modified feature, but had to
fight off Kendall Sather, second place, and Mark Allgood, third place, for
the victory. Bill Davis Jr. finished fourth. After the race, Pat Fagen
claimed Davis' engine and Russ Gladson claimed Sather's. Both drivers sold.`
John Hunnell led all 15 laps of the IMCA stock car main. Finishing second
was Maynard Davis III, third was Paul Anderson, and Steve Jackson was fourth.
The first IMCA hobby stock features was won by John Davis with Steve Curtis,
Rick Gladson, and Adam Hagen filling out the top four. The second feature
was won by Scott Lowe followed by Mike Stark, Bruce Wolfe, and Don Wear.
Next week features season championships for 360 spring cars and IMCA late
models with regular competition in the other classes. Championships for
IMCA modifieds, IMCA stock cars, and IMCA hobby stocks will be held on
Thursday, September 2, 1999. Racing starts with hot laps at 6:15 and heats
at 7:00 P.M.
