Private Home - NEWTON: Date/Time: 11/7/03 7:00pm; Weather conditions: Solar -normal; Geomagnetic -storm/quiet, Temperature: 27F, Humidity 52%, Moon Phase: 97% of full. Investigators: Lynnette D. , Signa, & Alan.
UPDATED 3/08/04 -The home is currently occupied by 2 adults & their young son & daughter. Older home, likely built in 1920s or '30s. Frank, one of the first owners, passed away in the home in 1959. The house was sold in 1960 to a family that resided there for 14 years. In the mid 1970's they sold it to a couple who kept it only 2 weeks before selling again. This family sold the house again less than a year later to the parents of the current owner & his wife. It's been haunted as long as he can remember. {Was Frank, perhaps, scaring away some of the previous tenants? Not every one can handle sharing a house with a ghost!} They have been doing some remodeling in the last year. The owner's father passed away a couple of years ago.
Activity includes unexplained footsteps on the stairs, back door opening by itself, TV changing volume on it's own, dogs barking at unseen things, child speaking to unseen presence in his bedroom, & the feeling of being watched. The basement is the place where most people feel uncomfortable. Also, 2 of our Investigators, & and an owner, heard the front door buzzer going off before they reached the front door -& the home doesn't HAVE a front door buzzer.
The
E.M.F. meters picked up activity in the
basement, dining room, the front porch. 2 positive photos were
obtained in the basement.

The last picture, taken by Investigator Lynnette D., shows a
light anomaly in the upper left hand corner.
Upon close inspection, it reveals that the 'pinkish' cast is
due
to an area where it is semi-transparent & the paneling color filters through.
She was holding a gauss meter in her left hand & the camera in her right,
& no one else was near at the time of the photo, so it could not have been a
finger or arm in the way. She also didn't have a camera strap,
& there were no light sources on that side of her. {Sony Cybershot}
Here is another picture taken near the basement "hot
spot". Investigator Alan was registering a 10
reading on the
Gauss Meter at the time he asked Investigator Lynnette D. to snap this
shot. Note the orb directly above his head -& almost out of the

Follow Up: Another visit was made to the house on 11/14/03 7:30pm. Weather conditions: Solar: Active; Geomagnetic Storm. Moon 55%. Temp 45F 66% Humidity. Active remodeling going on this week. Investigators: Signa, Lynnette D., & Lynette B.
Investigator
Signa captured a small
light rod in the living room/porch area,
{highlighted by a red box in the photo}. This area was
registering some E.M.F. & temperature changes. We did obtain
some orbs, but had to discount them due to dusty conditions from remodeling.
The
motion detector did go off in the basement, in
the vicinity of where last week's positive photos were taken, while every one
was upstairs. Unusual E.M.F. readings were also recorded in the
basement, dining room area, & around the steps to the 2nd floor.
Investigator Signa
also submitted this photo that she had taken at
the house earlier this year. This
ecto
picture was captured during the 3rd birthday party for the owner's son.
No one was smoking at the time. This picture is of the owner's
brother & his son.
UPDATE Private Home -Jasper County: This Thanksgiving weekend was an anniversary of the suicide of the home owner's son. On 11/26/03 her computer was acting strangely. While playing a game, an orb photo she had taken several weeks ago suddenly appeared on the screen. She had not accessed it in weeks, & indeed, didn't even know what file she had it in on her computer. She closed the file, only to have it open up on it's own repeatedly, even as she tried to restart her computer. This has not happened before or since this incident.
On Thanksgiving morning, while she was out of town, she recorded a very strange E.V.P.. At about 10:30am, 11/27/03, a digital recorder set on sound activation picked up unusual activity in her master bedroom. Loud banging, clanging noises, & a male voice were picked up. No cause for these sounds have been found, & we have been unable to reproduce them.
At
12:45am, 11/29/03, she took this photo in her master bedroom. It
shows either a fast moving
orb or
ecto
forming. A photo taken immediately afterwards didn't show anything
paranormal in nature. In recent weeks she had been obtaining some
unusual orb photos, many in this room, but this is the first one showing
movement. Other light
sources, dust, & reflections have been ruled out so far.
Private Home -Jasper County: Date/Time: 10/24/03 7:30pm Weather conditions: G3 Geomagnetic Solar Storm, Temperature 50F, Humidity 72%, Moon Phase 0% Investigators: Signa, Lynnette D., & Lynette B.
The owner's son had committed suicide at the residence 5 years previously. She lives by herself & has 1 cat. She has experienced odd behavior with her answering machine. Her recorded message will be replaced with odd noises & music, & the machine will start on it's own at various times. Her cat has also been observing & reacting to unseen stimulation. Other incidents include paneling that has suddenly fallen off the wall in the basement & flickering lights. She did report seeing a shadowy apparition at the foot of her bed once.
The investigation took place indoors. We took many pictures, but had only a few positive photos. At one point the motion detector went off in an empty bedroom upstairs, while we, including the cat, were downstairs. We registered some minor temperature changes in the living room area as cold spots were suddenly felt.

bedroom before he moved to a basement room. Note the dark
shadow appearing in the upper right hand corner.
There was nothing in front of the lens & this was not visible at the time the

The following pictures were taken in the basement of the home. This was around an area that played a dramatic role during the son's suicide. Investigator Lynette B. noticed that her 1st shot of this area was dark, but with each successive attempt the area grew darker as a black mist or shadow crept in. The
ecto picture
below shows a very large field of
ectoplasm that
seems to be forming in to a shape.
There was no fog or smoke present this night. The ecto was only
visible in the photo. In the left picture, can you see the
possible shape of a rider on a horse to the left of the pointed tombstone?

Closed County Home: This establishment was the
temporary home of many a
troubled teenager before it
was closed down a couple of years ago. It has since set empty.
This investigation was limited to the outside grounds. This photo was snapped at random & the
apparition was noticed upon inspection of the photo
later. The top photo is a detail
