Books The
Encyclopedia of Ghost & Spirits by
Rosemary Ellen Guiley - Everything but the kitchen sink!
Covers terminology, famous hauntings, folk tales,
& 'hunting' techniques used. Entries range from brief
explanations to stories. Have a question or interest in something
ghostly? You'll probably find at least a mention in here. Talking
to Heaven by James VanPraagh
- Gives wonderful
insight in to "the Other Side". Talented psychic gives
clues to how our dearly departed may be trying to communicate with us.
Stories about many of the readings he's given to clients, & crime cases he's
helped solve. Ghost
by Katherine Ramsland
- Covers her various experiments trying to capture proof of spirits.
Lots of EVP work. Relax

people" relates her experiences with the spirits. She
answers many questions, and offers advice on what you can do if your home is
haunted. The
Séance by Suzanne Northrup
- Don't
let the title fool you, this book isn't about table tipping. A
professional psychic relates her experiences with clients & the deceased.

classic! Black

Heartland; Haunted America; Historical Haunted America all
by Beth Scott & Michael
Norman- All 3 books are
collections of fascinating stories. Very little of the "what if
it IS a ghost" or bare bones story telling that is so often found in
collections of this type. The
Ghostly Gazetteer & The
Ghostly Register by Arthur Meyers
- Not as recent, but still interesting. He gives
locations, the stories, witnesses, most common
times for paranormal events to take place, & whether or not the place is
still considered to be haunted. Covers locales from all over the
country that are -or were -open for public access. Ghosts
by Hans Holzer -
Long time ghost
researcher, Hans Holzer, has compiled the best
stories from his many ghost books into one huge volume. He
tends to delve into the realm of frankly questionable psychics a bit too much,
but over all an interesting read. Also includes some photos. The Other Side by Denise Jones - Denise tells the story of how her son first began seeing spirits that the rest of the family couldn't. Some bad spirits then came in & gained strength from her son's gift, & soon the whole family was being terrorized. She explains how they coped & over came the situation. She also has a website.
